“Grab Your Guitar And Start Playing Now”

With The Lost Fingers in Montreal

The Lost Fingers experience!

I toured the canadian jazz festivals with my trio last June/July and extended my stay in Canada after being invited to guest with The Lost Fingers – a trio from Quebec city who funnily enough had been mentioned to me by Martin Taylor in Sweden a few weeks before. I had checked them out on youtube etc and really dug what they did and relished the opportunity to play with them. To mix gypsy jazz with monster hits from the 80’s and more is a killer combo and a ton of fun.

We did three shows together. The first and perhaps my favorite one was in Montreal where the crowd were literally going crazy for these guys! The trio consists of Byron Mikaloff on Guitar/vocals,Christian Roberge on Guitar/Vocals and Alex Morissette on Double Bass/Vocals and they gave me a very warm welcome and a brand new ‘Tiger’ suit and boots when we hooked up at the sound check! They go for it with their threads and were all wearing pink suits and snake skin cowboy boots – killer look!

I was invited up to play AC/DC’s ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’ preceded by ‘Thunder’ and the crowd went wild. I was having as much fun as I’ve ever had on stage and we were playing gypsy jazz! or were we? What a combo.

These three guys were really inspiring. Not just musically but with their great passion for playing music and having fun. They work really hard and they have an awesome act.
